Shrimp Pasta

Image
I did take pictures this time. Here is the update with pictures. It was so quick and semi-homemade I was impressed by me, lol. Ingredients Ragu home-style alfredo sauce 2 teaspoons of finely chopped garlic olive oil 1 tablespoon butter any size shrimp 1lb peeled ready to eat linguini pasta 1/2 cup grape tomatoes halved 1 bunch baby spinach ( add more if you like) pepper to taste. 1. cook pasta according to directions and serving you will need. I used the whole box since I made this for 5! 2. in a sauté pan add your butter with just a little olive oil. The olive oil keeps the butter from browning too quickly have your heat on med-high. To your heated butter/oil add your garlic and then your shrimp. cook for about 5 minutes just long enough for the garlic and butter flavor the shrimp. Now add your tomatoes and spinach. cook until wilted. 3. add your jar of alfredo sauce and stir until the butter and olive oil blend in. 4. as it warms through add pepper to taste. 5. on...

My mom means everything to me. She was doing better until recently, in December she lost her disability and her Medicaid. Since then her health has begun to decline. Anything you can do to help would be a blessing. Thank you for taking the time to read this. gofundme.com/awvi90  .

Feel the Burn OOOHHH YEAH!

Phase III all I can say is OMG!!! Burn It Up! ®; really kicks it into overdrive. This video is 59 minutes and it is a non-stop heart pounding hour. I began on Sunday June 8 th , and I only got through the first 38 minutes and I was done! I laid on the floor until I could regain my strength to get back up. I skipped Monday too sore to even walk and my mom came home from the hospital. She is a long way from recovery but she is on the right path. My mom was sent home with a diagnosis of stage 4 renal failure, Stage 4 aggressive Breast Cancer that has spread to the skeletal system, ( she suffers from factored bones) , and shortness of breath due to the fluid buildup around the lungs in the pericardial lining. The fluid is produced by the tumors. Anyways I spent the day with mom and rejoiced in the fact that she will not have the added physical exhaustion of dialysis.     ...

Poop and detoxing --- part of an overall healthy lifestyle

I wanted to start off by letting you know that I’m feeling great physically, mentally I have some setbacks. My mother is in the hospital at the moment it seems that the cancer has spread and the reason for the unbearable pain she had been feeling lately. So my mind has not been in the right place, and my emotional eating is getting the best of me.   I am not ready to throw in the towel, so to help with the eating I decided to have fresh juice or detox tea to help me stay full and trying to sneak in sugary snacks.                Fresh juice or green smoothies are great for cleaning out ones digestive system and so is the recipe I’m going to give you for the detox tea. As a mom I do stool checks every once in a while. I know gross right! However, stool can tell you a lot about your digestive health and I want to make...

Week 2 Ramp It UP!!! Ouch!!

Image
Week One of Slim in 6®, was awesome. This first part, Start it Up ® is to get you familiar with the moves and just to ease you into the program but you will see some changes and soreness. I posted my measurements and weight on day one and I have to say I was afraid to take them again today. I completed each day by doing the Slim and Limber® before the workout this helped in minimizing the soreness. I took Saturday as my rest day and today Sunday I began Ramp It Up®. This next part contains the same moves you learned in Start it Up with the addition of a few new moves to push you a little. Also the movements are faster, so if you have not mastered the moves in the first part DO NOT go on to Ramp It Up, and also if it is too much for you go back to Start It Up. I have to admit that right now after my workout my legs feel like jelly. I took a nice long hot shower to help my muscles but still f...
