New Layouts

i picked up some cute scrapbook paper up at michaels. some of it was clearance priced at 19 cents a sheet. I also picked up mom's diner sheets at 25 cents a sheet. Im also thinking of making some t-shirts but need to make one more michaels stop since the shirts are priced at 2 bucks a piece. OH hunny... debit card please, LOL. (fingers crossed) Im hoping to get an early start to my day so I have time to play with my cricut. It sits so sadly in the corner just begging me to play with it.

Almost that Time of the Year! When the yarn Comes out...

    I have been waiting all summer for the right time to start playing with my yarn. Last fall/winter and part of the spring I was a pretty busy bee on my Ultimate Sweater Machine. If you don't know what it is , it is a home hobby knitting machine. It is easy to assemble and does not need electricity, you put in the muscle. I make some great beanies on it. I can honestly say I have mastered the striped beanie pattern in the book and was comfortable enough to make my own alterations to the pattern. Breast Cancer Awareness Month

My sister Cecilia last week made these great pink ribbons in honor of my mom's battle against breast cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2000. She went through grueling chemo and radiation and has been in remission since 2001. We are happy to have her with us still and that she did not give up her fight when the odds were against her.
